Poetry book is up at last. :)

I've only worked on it for 13 years, it's about time, eh?  Lovely link!  Pass it along!  400 pages (in Open Office) of lovely flowing words.  I kept this in chronological order as much as possible, having gathered it all from 100 different places where I wrote over time, so it is sort of my-life-in-poetry, over the last 15 years or so.

Now off I go!  I have more writing to do.  And more coffee to brew.  Enjoy!

Spelling Tests, oh what fun!

The Twitter Spelling Test
Created by Oatmeal

So I took the test up above just to prove to my husband that I could spell better than him (I totally, did, by the way.  A whole 5% higher score than him.  Of course, this might only come out to one more correct answer than he had.  I didn't really pay attention to how many questions there were.  Hmm..) ~

I'm a pretty big grammar and spelling nazi.  I will be reading something and notice a slight error and it will totally detract from the entire point of the work I'm reading.  I get stuck on the one little word and say, no, it should be "than", not "then", or whatever, and I have to make myself disregard it.  I have to go back and re-read whatever was written, and not let it bother me, so I can get the point.

Anyway.  There were a couple that I was hesitant on.  Extra r or no extra r, etc, but this was a fun one.  Take the quiz and see how you do!  Post your answers if you like!

Off to work on more poetry.  I only have 2 more weeks if I want to stick with my goal of getting the poetry compilation (12 years in the making, people!) up on the Kindle store!  I'm getting down to the end and am pretty confident it will be ready in time.  I still have a couple things to write to make myself happy, edit those  a couple times, and triple check (for the 18th time) everything before I upload.

Lalala, the joys of self-editing.  But it's OK.  I'm my own worst critic.  It means it will actually be somewhat better than if I sent the document file off to someone else to have them look it over.  Which is oddly backward for most people I think.
