Welcome to the first weekly flash fiction challenge of December! You have one week to submit yours if you want to be included in the runnings for "my favorite" of the week. I'm going to offer a copy of either my short story, Nothing Lasts Forever, or a copy of my giant book of poetry, Bony Fingered Limbs, to the winner. Just let me know which you'd prefer, should you be chosen! :) It will come to you via email as a PDF file, DRM-free, so you can send it to whatever e-book-reader-device you may prefer.
Get me your submissions by Midnight next Friday morning, 12-9-11, Mountain Standard Time.. Link us your story in the comment area!
Anyway! Let's get down to it! Your challenge this week is to give me a short story, 1500 words or less, using the photo below as inspiration. I call it Old Typewriter. Decided to go with a writing theme, for a farewell to NaNoWriMo.
Well, Here goes. You'll be the first person to ever read a fiction that I've written. It was written NaNo fashion, so it needs a lot of editing. I look forward to your thoughts.

ReplyDeleteI just finished reading everything, three times. It was a very close decision and I actually needed to read aloud to my husband and get his opinions too. But we have a winner! :)
ReplyDeleteLaurie, your Just my Type story takes the cake this time! Just let me know if you'd prefer the poetry collection, Bony Fingered Limbs, or the short story, Nothing Lasts Forever. I just need an email to send your pick to. It will come as a PDF file.
Everyone else, fantastic job, and keep it up! :) Join me for the Shoe Tree challenge this week, too!
Yayyy. Congratulations Laurie. Your story is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm totally surprised by this. I haven't written a short story in more than 15 years. Wow!
